So, last semester, I did some film photography. My experience with an all manual Pentax (a K1000, I think) made me improve so much in technique.

I cant honestly say it changed a lot the way I observe light and movement. To say the least, having to shoot with the perfect settings at first clic perfected a lot my use of digital cameras. Generally, when shooting with my Canon, I tended to take multiple pictures of the same subject, with inadequate settings, because I could simply readjust the brightness, colour, exposure, contrast and every little detail I wanted with a photo editor.

Also, we all know as photographers that most of the work is done before and after taking the photo. Really, developing a film all by myself was one of the most arduous, but so satisfactory, thing that I made. So I hope you like the work I did, I will try to post more of these soon. I have some darkroom projects coming up for the next few months or so.

La session dernière, j'ai fait de la photographie argentique.

J'ai utilisé un Pentax K1000 (je pense), cela m'a permis d'améliorer considérablement ma technique.

Ça a changé ma façon d'observer la lumière et les mouvements. Devoir prendre la photo au bon moment, avec les bons réglages dès la première fois m'a permis d'augmenter mon efficacité sur les appareils numériques. Quand j'utilisais mon Canon, j'avais tendance à prendre plusieurs photos en rafale sans vraiment m'attarder aux réglages, simplement parce que j'étais capable de tout réajuster sur un logiciel photo.

En tant que photographe, je sais pertinemment que le travail s'effectue en majeure partie avant et après le déclenchement. Mais développer le négatif de moi-même ne m'as que confirmé à quel point cela était ardu, quoi que très satisfaisant, d'entreprendre un tel projet.

J'espère que vous apprécierez mon travail, je publierai certaines autres photos dans les prochains mois. J'ai quelques projets à l'argentique à venir!
